Dress whites:
Dress white uniforms are a polyester blend and since they are white, they are easily soiled or dirtied. You must be extremely careful while wearing these uniforms and try not to lean up against anything. Caring for your uniform is not a difficult but there are a couple of things you need to be aware of to care for them properly.
- Get into habit of washing the uniform after every use. As soon as you are back home launder them do not wait until your need to uniform to start the process.
- Do not use bleach! although it would seem natural to want to use bleach will add a yellowish tint to the uniform.
- Inspect the uniform paying attention for any stains. If it is heavily stained, then you may want to presoak the uniform in a clean bucket with water and Oxiclean.
- Submerge uniform in a gallon of water plus one scoop of Oxiclean in a container or bucket.
- Soak overnight.
- Follow rest of instructions to launder.
- Pretreat any and all stains with a solution like shout or Oxiclean . Pay particular attention to areas that are prone to sweat such as around the neckline or around the cuffs on blouse. And the pockets and inside of leg opening on trousers.
- When you pretreat spray directly onto the stain and rub it in with its own material
Launder it with any regular laundry detergent and add a product like Oxiclean as that does help brighten the material.
Washing machine settings should be:
Permanent press cycle
Hot water
Only wash dress whites do not mix any color items in the wash. Dress white trousers, blouse, cover, white t shirt can be washed together.
When wash is done promptly remove uniform and put in dryer or line dry.
Dryer settings.
Permanent press or delicate (do not use high heat) using only medium or low heat
Hang or fold uniform and stow away (see Dress whites hanging or folding section)
